Websites

A site with no theme underneath it, in about a week.

Not a theme with your logo dropped in, and not a page builder you have to keep renting. Each one is drawn to its own layout, typeset properly, and written to sound like the business it belongs to. Build time runs to about a week once the brief is agreed and your copy, images and domain access are in hand. They load fast, work on a phone, and read correctly to a screen reader — and at the end the files are yours, on your own hosting, with no monthly fee to keep your own site online.

Builds

One of these was built for a real client. The other two are concept builds — invented companies, built properly. They’re here on purpose: a concept build is the same work as a commission minus the client, and it’s the honest way to show what I’d do for your business before there’s a version of it with your name on. Every one is labelled for what it actually is.

The S.H.I.P.S. Physio homepage: a deep green header over a photograph of a physiotherapist supporting an older patient using a walking frame, with the headline 'Specialist home physiotherapy for stroke, head injury, Parkinson's and neuro rehabilitation'.
S.H.I.P.S. Physio Neuro physiotherapy · Devon · site redesign

A full redesign for a specialist home-physiotherapy practice. The whole job was reducing friction for people in a hard moment — a phone number that is always reachable, plain-English wording instead of clinical language, and a route to contact that doesn’t demand a diagnosis first.

The Northlight Studio homepage: a wide Devon coastal landscape at golden hour, with an offset bone-coloured panel carrying the headline 'Light worth keeping'.
Northlight Studio Self-directed concept build · not a real business

A concept build for an invented photography studio — made to work through one problem properly: how a layout gets out of the way when the images have to be the loudest thing on the page. An offset type panel that never competes with the picture behind it, and a portfolio structure quiet enough to let photographs carry it. No client, no commission; the imagery is placeholder.

The Mack Intelligence homepage in dark mode: a monospaced terminal-style interface with the headline 'MacK Intelligence builds the AI workspace, not just the pitch' and a numbered how-it-works list.
Mack Intelligence Concept build · not a live business

A concept build for a technical brand, here because it sits at the opposite end of the range from the other two: a terminal-flavoured interface with a system-aware light and dark theme, and a consent model that sets nothing beyond what the site genuinely needs. Never launched as a business — the build is the point.

How a build runs

A brief, then a design you approve

What the site is for, who it’s for, and what it has to make happen — agreed first. You see and sign off the design direction before a line of it gets built.

Yours at the end

Real files on your own hosting and domain. No monthly fee to keep your own site online, and no platform you have to keep renting to stay live.

Everything this covers

One person across the whole build, so the design, the words and the code never disagree with each other.

Design, drawn for you

Its own layout and type, chosen against what the business actually is — not a template with the colours swapped.

Real HTML and CSS

Written for your site specifically rather than assembled from a stack of plugins, which is most of why these load quickly and keep working.

Copy written, not filled in

The words are part of the build. No lorem ipsum, no placeholder text left for you to fix, no invented claims about your business.

Accessibility built in

Keyboard navigation, screen-reader semantics and real colour contrast — requirements, not an upgrade to be quoted for.

Findable

Clean markup, real page titles and descriptions, and a sitemap — so search engines get something legible to read.

Contact that actually arrives

A working form with spam protection that emails you, rather than a mailto link people never click.

Deployed and live

Set up on your own hosting and domain, configured properly, and handed over working — not zipped and emailed.

Changes afterwards

Ongoing edits when the business changes, at an hourly rate. No retainer required to keep the site online.

Two of the three above are concept builds, and that is the point — the layout, the type and the code are decided the same way whether or not there’s an invoice attached. Sites pair with the ads that drive traffic to them, and both can be built together.
